IN THE MATTER OF CAI MASTER ALLOCATION FUND LTD and IN THE MATTER OF CAI ALLOCATION FUND LTD
The Bermuda Monetary Authority petitioned for the winding-up of CAI Master Allocation Fund Ltd. and CAI Allocation Fund Ltd. The Joint Provisional Liquidators (JPLs) sought court guidance on whether investor funds sent to the Feeder Fund for shares that were never issued should be returned and whether SACs (Segregated Accounts) could be liable for each other's debts. The ruling clarified how liquidators should treat unissued shares and whether assets in one SAC could cover liabilities in another.

Lyndon Raynor v. Stanley Eugene Davis
The respondent entered a hotel room intending to steal struggled with the occupants claimed to have a gun and escaped. His criminal history includes numerous non-violent property offences driven by drug addiction. The magistrate sentenced him to 1 year deemed inadequate on appeal due to the seriousness of the crime the offender's history and the need for a sentence that deters similar offences. The sentence was increased to 2 ? years

Wakefield Quin v. Tanisha Rampersad and Ricardo Rampersad
Law firm sued former clients for unpaid legal fees for services rendered between October 27 2006 and December 10 2008 related to a partition matter. The defendants claimed an agreement to waive the fees was made which the firm disputed. The case revolved around the partition of a property and subsequent legal fees. The court found no evidence of the alleged fee waiver agreement and ruled in favor of the plaintiff with adjustments for acknowledged deductions.

MICHAEL BARBOSA and CHRISTINE BARBOSA vs. MINISTER FOR HOME AFFAIRS and ATTORNEY GENERAL
Mr and Mrs Barbosa residents of Bermuda seek to adopt a niece from the Philippines faced legal barriers due to not being considered 'residents' under the 2006 Act due to not having Bermudian status. They sought declaration for recognition as residents for adoption purposes and claimed damages for infringement of constitutional rights due to historic failure in recognizing Mr. Barbosa's rights as a person belonging to Bermuda.

Rose Belboda v. Fiona Miller (Police Sergeant)
Rose Belboda a nursing aid was convicted for physically abusing a senior patient Mr. Gladwin Edness Sr. who had Alzheimer's and dementia. The incident occurred when Edness Sr. hit Belboda prompting her to retaliate by throwing an air freshener bottle at him causing injury.
