PricewaterhouseCoopers Bermuda (a firm) v Kingate Global Fund Ltd (in Liquidation) and Kingate Euro Fund Ltd. (in Liquidation)

PWC sought leave to appeal against orders made under section 195 of the Companies Act 1981 related to their role as auditors for funds operating as 'Feeder Funds' for Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC. The funds collapsed in 2008.

THE QUEEN - and - DARRONTE LAVAR DILL

Dill was convicted of the murders of Maxwell Brangman and Frederick Gilbert. Brangman was found burned in a shed, while Gilbert was discovered floating in Smith?s Sound. The evidence included confessions Dill allegedly made to a fellow prisoner, recorded police interviews, and forensic evidence. The defense challenged the admissibility of these confessions, arguing they were obtained under duress and should be excluded under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 2006 (PACE).
