Mother contested jurisdiction claiming Canada as the appropriate forum due to their habitual residence and ongoing proceedings there. Father argued Bermuda's jurisdiction citing the child's and parties' presence in Bermuda and the need for local adjudication of welfare and custody.

The court examined if Omnia established segregated accounts for investments made in or policies issued by it specifically the Policy and shares in Liffey International Holdings Limited managed by Stonehage for the Ackerman-Robins family since 2002

Marcus Uddin v The Commissioner of Police
Marcus Uddin a probationary police officer was dismissed by the Commissioner of Police during his probationary period despite being on an informal action plan to address performance deficiencies. Uddin's dismissal occurred before the action plan's completion and without fair process raising issues of lawfulness fairness and procedural irregularity.

Jo-Ann Philpott v. Juan Wolffe & Adrian Cooke
The case concerned whether charges against the plaintiff for several offences were time-barred. The magistrate had ruled they were not based on when the DPP first became aware of the facts sufficient to justify proceedings. The main legal question was whether the knowledge of the police could be attributed to the DPP and if a certificate by someone other than the DPP indicating the date facts came to the DPP's notice complied with section 452(1) of the Criminal Code.

ANTONIO PIMENTEL DA COSTA v. CHRISTOPHER CARTER and BF&M GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED
Collision on 1st January 2016 causing extensive injuries to Da Costa. Carter driving a car previously insured under BF&M hit Da Costa. Carter admitted liability but disputed damage quantum. BF&M denied coverage claiming policy was cancelled upon car's ownership transfer to Carter who was also convicted of impaired driving

The case questions if individuals deemed to belong to Bermuda under its constitution are considered citizens or nationals for international sports eligibility specifically in CCCAN events. The plaintiffs are minors children of naturalised citizens challenging their eligibility to represent Bermuda.
