Ideh an American senior manager was unfairly dismissed after a short period post-probation as Chief Operating Officer by the appellants. Tribunal awarded him compensation and back pay but appellants appealed on points of law including tribunal's failure to provide evidence notes and delay in award delivery.

Action stemmed from allegations of negligent breach of contract by the Bank leading to significant losses for FAC. Dispute over the recoverability of these losses and the contractual liability. Bank offered to relinquish certain shares to FAC reducing the quantum of FAC?s claim substantially leading to discontinuance of the trial.

Denis Winslow Devent White v. Angela Cox (Police Constable)

The appellant Denis Winslow Devent White was convicted and sentenced for sexual assault based on an incident between January 1 and December 31 2006 where he was alleged to have assaulted the complainant a child who was the daughter of his then-girlfriend. The case was reported to the police in January 2008 and tried in August 2009. The appeal was granted due to issues with the handling of delay in complaint impact of appellant's prior convictions and incorrect legal standards by the magistrate.

Morris O Brien v The Queen

Morris O'Brien appealed his conviction for rape, arguing that his trial counsel failed to properly follow his instructions, did not effectively cross-examine prosecution witnesses, and used inappropriate legal terminology. He also claimed that the trial was unfair due to his counsel's failure to properly guide witnesses. The appeal questioned the fairness of the trial process and whether the defense was properly presented.
