Summary: Pulsar Re a creditor of Lehman Re sought to use documents obtained in Bermuda proceedings in a New York case against Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and Lehman Commercial Paper Inc. The court had to decide whether Pulsar Re could be released from an implied confidentiality undertaking to use these documents. The court ruled in favor of allowing Pulsar Re to use the documents emphasizing that the documents were not disclosed through traditional litigation discovery and were intended to resolve a dispute between creditors regarding the distribution of a key asset in Lehman Re's liquidation.

Philip Perinchief applied for the post of Solicitor General after serving in various legal capacities including as Attorney-General. Despite being the only Bermudian applicant among shortlisted candidates the post was awarded to Barrie McKay a non-Bermudian following a selection process involving an interviewing committee and the Public Service Commission's recommendation to the Governor

KATE THOMSON v. JAMES THOMSON AND COLONIAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED
The case involved a road traffic accident on January 15 2006 causing serious injuries to the Plaintiff Kate Thomson due to the 1st Defendant's negligence. The 2nd Defendant Colonial Insurance Company Limited was found liable post-trial. The issue of lost UK NHS pension contributions due to the accident was contested.
