Jemari Belboda v Fiona Miller (Police Sergeant)

Jemari Belboda a former Bermuda Police Service officer was convicted of sexual assault against a colleague. Despite a close platonic friendship Belboda assaulted her while she pretended to sleep hoping to avoid escalation. Belboda's defense of honest belief in consent was rejected and his actions post-assault including a half-hearted apology and attempts to normalize the situation underscored his guilt. The appeal focused on credibility the application of honest belief in consent and procedural errors but was dismissed on all grounds

Plaintiff alleged copyright infringement by Defendants in distribution of 'Pastor will you marry me please?' without authorization. Defendants claimed they were contractually entitled for distribution under a verbal agreement partially supported by written evidence. Disputes over copyright ownership distribution rights and earnings from unauthorized DVD sales. 1st Defendant acknowledged the end of distribution agreement but contested the scope and proceeds from DVD sales.
