Noet Barnett v The Queen
2015
On October 4 2010 Barnett shot Jeremiah Dill in both legs after a confrontation on motorcycles. Barnett was identified by Charmelle Bascome an acquaintance based on clothing motorcycle and physical features. Forensic evidence linked Barnett to the crime through DNA evidence found on a firearm recovered near his residence.

Corporation of Hamilton successfully applied to set aside an order by consent for summary judgment in favor of MIF for $18 million arguing the guarantee was ultra vires

2019
Kadeem Abraham a Corrections' Officer was accused of attempting to convey a cell phone to a prisoner. He was approached by the Chief Corrections' Officer due to certain information received leading to the discovery of a cell phone wrapped in a mayonnaise packet on his person. Abraham claimed he intended to examine the package later not knowing it contained a cell phone.
