Tucker was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder with a recommendation of 25 years before eligibility for parole and 10 years' imprisonment for using a firearm to run consecutively. The appeal focuses on both conviction and sentence. The facts involve Tucker after premeditation chasing and fatally shooting Steede on 3rd November 2017. CCTV footage captured the chase and shooting. After the murder Tucker made an 83-second call that coincided with a group outside Spinning Wheel night club receiving news about the murder. Tucker was arrested the next day. Forensic evidence linked Tucker to the murder including gunshot residue particles on his hands and clothing.
